Making a new record label.
Free Kids Records started out as an independent record label, created in 2010, based in Copenhagen DK by Thomas Fritsche, Jaz Vidar, Dawn Fastholm & Adam Fastholm, with the vision to support, produce and publish local Copenhagen talents.
First out was the album ‘En Stund’ by danish/swedish band Fastpoholmen. This production gave the new label a lot of challenges and experiences on all the aspects of releasing music. Rights and registrations, music-video-produktion, packaging, artwork and release parties.’En stund’ was followed by a range of bands; Joes Boxing Gym, Aslak, Beurre Noir, Own Road, Aslak, Charlie Campari and more Fastpoholmen.
Broadening the vision - collaborating
Throughout the years, Free Kids Records also has become the frame for making events, clubs & concerts i Copenhagen and southern Sweden, collaborating with other bands, promoters and booking agencies, amongst others, Linked Up Booking, Bullet Booking, Swingkids Booking. Creating projects like Swedish Massive, Scandinavian Reggae Festival, Club Itch, Christiania Reggae Club & Free Kids Joint presenting artists like Copenhagen Cumbia Kings , Labyrint, General Knas, Chronixx, Mambe, Helt Off, ODZ, Toots and the Maytals, Svenska Akademien etc
